WPTV Channel 5: Social media a factor in teen girl suicide rate

I spoke with WPTV Channel 5 about an alarming trend. Teen suicides, especially among girls.
A new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention showed teen girls committed suicide more in 2015 than any year since 1975.  The numbers for males are higher, but the pace of teen girl suicide is climbing.

“They scroll down and they see more and more people that look so happy and they say to themselves, ‘That is not me. There’s something wrong with me,’” I said in my interview with WPTV.

The best advice is to get help right away. (Related link: Ways to prevent suicide)
